Maurene Goodman
Director of Kidz Educational Services
Dr. Maurene Goodman, PsyD is the Director of Kidz Educational Services at Family of Kidz. Dr. Goodman previously served as a psychologist within Kidz Educational Services and Kidz Therapy where she provided initial and re-evaluation psychoeducational testing, behavior management, parent support, and school-wide consultation. Dr. Goodman completed her doctoral internship and post-hoc experience at Family of Kidz.
Prior to Kidz, Dr. Goodman served as a psychologist in district, community therapist, and behavior specialist. She specializes in psychological and academic assessment, children, adolescents, and families, emotional difficulties, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Dr. Goodman has presented at several conferences including NASP, NYASP, and the Tri-State CAMP Conference. Additionally, she completed an experimental study in the realm of social psychology and cultural differences.
Dr. Goodman received her BS in Applied Psychology from Farmingdale State College, prior to completing her MA in School Psychology at Adelphi University, where she also achieved her doctoral degree in psychology. She considers herself to be a lifelong learner who is committed to benefitting children and their families through empirically based research and quality approaches. In her spare time, Dr. Goodman relishes time spent with her family, exploring new hiking trails, and finding new coffee shops.
